Eliot's The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock
I liked Eliot's work. This poem and The Hollow Men were my favorites. I will share what I got out of reading The Love Song. I think that this man Alfred, is a troubled man. He is confused about his life and his spirituality. He is growing older and does not truly know who he is and what he has done with his life. I think he has lived life one way and been kind of a fake person around people he knows because he says he has to put on a face to meet other faces. He is trying to take the reader on a journey into his thoughts with him when he says, "Let us go, you and I." He is contemplating his lifelong journey in this poem. I thought it was fantastic!
