The Hollow Men

This is a great poem! I found it to sort of insinuate that some of us as people are somewhat hollow on the inside. That we have alot to learn in life before death and for those who have crossed to the other side to only remember us as lost people, not violent souls. Getting to Heaven and wondering what the other side is all about is really the point of this poem. He wonders if he will wake alone in Heaven as he does here on earth and if the other side is a dead land like the one on earth. I liked the way he incorporated the Lord's Prayer into his work. He uses a reference of "Falls the Shadow" and I took that to mean God. He also points out that life does not end with a bang but a whimper. So true. This poem was so well thought out and put together.
